Soaking up those perfect fall days where you can scrape by in a light jacket and scarf because it will be all too soon before we’re bundled up in hats, scarves, gloves and down-filled parkas. I actually scored this faux-suede moto jacket from Zara last week but for those looking for the real thing, this Blank NYC jacket is one I’ve had my eye on since last season. 
Also, if you follow on Instagram stories or Snapchat, you’ve probably noticed my recent obsession with Quay sunglasses. Real talk: I have a HUGE head. Any glasses less than 50mm width are almost swallowed up on my face so finding a brand where most styles are 50-52mm+ is a dream come true. Oh and most pairs are between $60-70 – score! I’m actually eying this pair next!

WI can’t believe how fast the weather has turned from summer to fall in Toronto. As sad as I am to see summer go, there’s a part of me that loves fall. Aside from the cliche reasons (PSL’s, candles, layering), the sun setting earlier usually means we have to shoot blog looks before we head to work in the morning (we’re so not early risers!) and have more of our week nights free to do what we want.

I can’t think of a better way to welcome fall than with a perfect pearl-adorned tweed dress and matching pink trench :) As if this dress wasn’t cute enough, I added a bow pin for that extra touch. You’ll be seeing a lot more of this brooch in the upcoming weeks – I’m obsessed!!

Sharing this look that I wore to the J. Crew S/S17 show this past week in New York. I loved that the brand used real people (yes, with real varying ages too!) as models – it made the collection really come to life. And seeing a model smile was just completely refreshing lol ;) This skirt really, truly is a must-have item. I did have to size up as there’s no give in the fabric but I LOVE it paired with a simple white tank, button up blouse or even a black and white contrast bow blouse for fall.

If you haven’t noticed, I have a bit of a thing with long vests this summer. I love how it instantly adds an element of chic to anything from a pencil skirt or a pair of jeans. I do love the particular style of this vest but being partially linen, has a tendency to wrinkle. This can be a pain point for some but I kind of like the rugged appearance of linen and it’s worth embracing in the warmer temps.

The day that we shot this look was such a blah day and I feel like it totally shows. I wasn’t feeling great, my allergies were crazy, it had been a busy week at work and as always, the infamous ‘to-do’ list seemed super daunting. So please excuse the lackluster outfit and half smirk in every photo. Thankfully, today is a long weekend in Canada so some much needed R&R, neighbourhood strolls, brunch and coffee dates will turn this frown upside down!
