Cozy and stylish rarely go hand in hand when it comes to fashion built for a Canadian winter. When RW&CO reached out and asked if I’d be interested in giving their parka a spin for the season, I figured it was worth a shot! I’ll be honest, I didn’t think this coat would see the light of day so soon but with single digit temperatures most mornings this week, it was definitely a must!

I love that the faux-fur trimmed hood and lining is detachable so when spring hits (yes, I’m counting down the days already), I’ll be able to get a bit more mileage out of the coat. In the meantime, I think I’m ready to tackle the sleet, snow and negative temps in this cute and functional coat for winter!

Black, white and yellow has got to be one of my favourite colour combos and packs a pop to any outfit. I paired today’s look with some amazing accessories from a website I recently came across: My Shining Armour. The shop carries the perfect assortment of styles and caters to those who love a great statement necklace or prefer more simplistic jewelry. I’ve been pairing the Bari Bracelet with simple tees, jeans and sneakers for an added ‘oomph’ to my outfit. I definitely recommend popping on over but wallets beware: it’s dangerous!

Airport Style

After a frigid and long winter, the hubby and I have headed South for the week to catch up on some much needed rest and warmth :) We’re typically used to multi-destination vacations where we’re packing and unpacking days apart so staying put for a week will be nice. Dressing for the airport in a city like Toronto can be tricky. Knowing you’re leaving and returning to minus temps typically dictates what I’ll wear to the airport. I typically dress in layers so I can manage based on the temps in the airport or plane. And I love a good blanket scarf to keep me cozy on flights :) Upon arrival, I’ll ditch majority of the bulky stuff  for a tee and cuff my jeans till we arrive at the resort. You may recall this dress from a previous post on the blog. By this time of year, I find myself stocking up on spring goodies without realizing I still have a few months to go in the frigid cold (sigh). So while I wait to bust out my new finds, I’m often trying to breath life into my tired winter wardrobe by remixing items in new ways.

On another note, I hope to see everyone at the event I’m hosting with Gap tonight at the Toronto Eaton Centre from 6-8. There’s going to be styling sessions, treats, music, a major giveaway including a prepaid card and spring outfits and more! Details below:

Here’s a few snaps of an outfit I wore to run errands the other weekend. With both hubby and I working FT during the week, if often feels like weekends are jam packed with to-do lists, grocery store runs, shoots for the blog, entertaining and so much more.  As much as I love getting dolled up to run around town, sometimes a comfy pair of sneaks, sweatshirt and a latte are essential for weekend wear.
