Just when I thought we were getting close to busting out the trench coats and light layers, winter decided to show up this weekend. Sigh. We spent most of the weekend bundled up under covers with the fireplace roaring and endless cups of tea but one quick trip outside for lunch called for an occasion to get dressed up in this wrap coat. I love the details and two tone colours – perfect for achieving that winter white look ;) Stay warm this week!

New year, new goals – right?! Alright, so I’m the first to admit that I am definitely not one of those girls who hits the gym 3x a week and loves the ‘surge’ that working out gives me. Between working my 9-5, running the blog, family life and just needing solo time, it’s usually pretty low on my priority list. So what do I do to keep myself motivated? New gym clothes ;)

It’s sad but it totally works. There’s nothing like a cute outfit to push me to get outside and go for a walk with Adam, take a hike in the warmer months or even drop into the gym for a run (ok, more like walk) on the treadmill. I’m super into the latest activewear collection –EXP Core – that hit Express. From compression leggings, to cute slogan tees (like this one) or cozy jackets, they’ve definitely designed a collection that makes you want to get off your butt and get into the gym and even run some errands after in style ;)

This midi skirt is a new fav! I’ve been pairing it with long-sleeved white tees, chambray shirts and paper-thin turtlenecks for a pulled-together winter look. In the warmer temps, I’ll be opting for ballerina tees, tanks or even white crop tops (although those days seem SO far away!). I definitely recommend ;)
