If there’s one style commitment I’m making this winter season, it’s to avoid the rut of getting into the habit of perpetually wearing black coats. Looking to change things up for the cooler months, I’ve been on the hunt for a military inspired coat in a shade that would double as a neutral but also make a statement.

And since I have a problem when it comes to collecting outerwear (hey – us Canadian gals need a plethora for all different types of outfits and weather!), I headed to my local Saks OFF 5th to see what they had in store. The brand was conveniently running their outerwear promotion (an extra 40% off!), which made this Vince Camuto number a steal and a half! With green reigning as the 2017 pantone colour of the year, this olive-hued jacket and its gold detailing were too good to pass up.

I love the juxtaposition of olive green with baby pink and these strappy pumps (with the most comfortable chunky heel!) paired perfect for a look that was quintessentially chic for a day at the office.

Two major snowfalls and a dip in temps and it definitely feels like winter around here. I see no issues going with cropped jeans in weather 0 degrees and above but when the weather constantly seems to be -5 and lower, it’s officially boot season. 
These black over the knee boots are a fun addition to my wardrobe. I’ll be honest, I always struggle with OTK boots for my height (5’4). I feel like they just go a tad too high on my thigh and almost miss the ‘look’ that they’re supposed to evoke. This pair from Vince Camuto has a great chunky heel, suede fabric and captures that perfect OTK look without looking goofy.
