Evening Glam

When I’ve got all the time in the world, there’s nothing I love more than getting dolled up for a night on the town. When two amazing brands come together like RW&CO and L’Oreal, you know you’re in for a real treat. 
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, I’m no makeup expert. I like to keep things super simple and sweet. I find if I over complicate my look, it can end up disastrous and really age me. 
Fresh off the plane from Colombia, my glow was the perfect palette to start with. Truthfully, the only thing I have on my skin in this shot is some highlighter brushed on my cheekbones and temples. This allowed for the trio of items from L’Oreal to really pop. A swipe of a neutral shadow was on my base and then I added the Infallible Super Slim Liner in Black for a subtle cat eye. Next was a few coats of the Voluminous Original Mascara in Blackest Black. Last but not least – lipstick! This shade is Doesn’t Matt-R and I adore it! It’s a darker plum and really popped with neutral eyes.

Feminine Suiting

While I won’t deny my love for a solid matching pant suit, a great workwear dress is another investment I always look forward to for fall. BUT – it must check off some key boxes: work with and without tights, looks cute in flats and heels, pairs well with blazers and of course – a bow is a major perk! 
This checked dress from RW&CO literally hits all the boxes and then some. I’ve enjoyed wearing it now with open toe kitten heels and even a blush moto jacket but I know come November/December, I’ll be wearing it with black opaque tights, ankle booties and a black blazer. I adore the lace detail across the neck and the bow on the collar is the perfect accessory that makes getting easy in the morning a breeze – just add earrings!

I think it’s safe to say fall has finally shown up in Oakville :) From bright red leaves to trees turning yellow, it’s the perfect opportunity to take a stroll downtown. The temps have been a tad deceiving going from chilly one day to warm the next so this sleeveless turtleneck dress from RW&CO has been the perfect companion this season. I love draping blanket scarves over it on warmer days and always keep a cropped moto jacket nearby for those chilly evenings.

Lovely in Lace

I don’t think there’s a more feminine print than a lace blouse. I just picked up this flared style last week from RW&CO and have been obsessed ever since. You can’t see it but be sure to follow the link to see the back side of the shirt which features an oversized bow and interesting cut lines. 
As if the shopping experience itself wasn’t great, I had the pleasure of visiting the new RW&CO location in Sherway Gardens. Currently in the process of a major renovation, Sherway Gardens is quickly becoming one of my favourite shopping centres without having to venture into the city. And the new RW&CO location reflects the new energy that’s been introduced to that mall. 

The new store concept is uber chic and very different compared to their last store setups. With fun details and props placed throughout the store, it emits a very different feel than previous set ups. 

I love a good prop! 

The new store also puts a stronger focus on accessories like their jewelry and shoes which I personally love! 
The merchandising is very polished and the store has a great layout which makes sorting from casual wear to denim to suiting a breeze. 

 
The next time you find yourself wandering through Sherway Gardens, be sure to drop in for a visit. One of my favourite trends from the 90s has to be the skort. It’s a total party in the front and business in the back (ha!) situation and I love it. This style from RW&CO is is the perfect fit and length to make it work appropriate for business meetings but also fun enough for cocktails after work! Paired with this graphic print blouse, it’s an easy-breezy summer look!

I don’t think anything screams spring more than pastels, florals and a flirty new dress. A fit and flare style is always my go to as it pairs perfect with pumps or even cute flats for a day running around the office – or town.
