I’ve had my eye on this dress since last summer and was thrilled to see it back in stock ahead of our trip to Palm Beach. Truthfully, I wanted it in the blue and white but wanting something vibrant and punchy for the tropics, I opted for the fuschia option. I ordered the XS based on most Free People items I purchase but could have gone up to the Small – there was little to no give in the fabric in the chest area. Otherwise, the fit was great and I love the shoulder ties for a feminine touch.

We spent the weekend at the cottage in Muskoka and it was the perfect opportunity to wear this tunic I had been lusting over all spring long. The price tag was initially a bit of a ‘gulp’ for me but after reading so many reviews of girls saying they could wear it as both a top and cover up, I was eager to give it a shot. I normally wear an XS in Free People but found the sleeves a little snug for the casual vibe I was going for so I opted for a size Small and it fit perfect. It also helped give me the length I was looking for to have it double as a cover up around the beach.

Snow Day

We had the most amazing snow day on Sunday this past weekend. With most plans cancelled for the day, Adam and I drove around a winter wonderland and took advantage of empty local shops, trying out new cafe’s and a fun walk in the snow. With a few weeks of winter left, I’ve been avoiding shopping sweaters and bulking items as much as possible and remixing items from the season as best as possible. This sweater was a favourite purchase from the fall and continues to be in heavy rotation for those chilly winter days.

WI can’t believe how fast the weather has turned from summer to fall in Toronto. As sad as I am to see summer go, there’s a part of me that loves fall. Aside from the cliche reasons (PSL’s, candles, layering), the sun setting earlier usually means we have to shoot blog looks before we head to work in the morning (we’re so not early risers!) and have more of our week nights free to do what we want.

We shot this look right before heading out for the weekend to the cottage. Not one for summer sweaters, this was just one of those items that looked blah on the hanger but I adored it once I tried it on. Oversized and cozy, it was the perfect item for a road trip up North :)
