I can’t resist a great cocktail dress and this is no exception! The subtle glitter and over the shoulder bow just made me swoon :) Whether it’s date night, attending a wedding or another special occasion, this frock will definitely be on repeat for me!

We finally hit above 0 degrees on the weekend and I could motivate myself to get outside and shoot some new content. I can’t lie, I’ve been in a bit of a funk lately with a loss in the family, foregoing a sunny destination trip we had booked and the gloomy weather we’ve been having but with only 53 days left till spring, I’m trying to turn over a new leaf! Since I can’t be in the sun, I’m trying to dress like it’s just around the corner.

Based on ALL the photos from this shoot, can you tell I’m obsessed with the dress? I’m not normally one to gravitate to dark colours but the fit, metallic details, pink accents and side ruffle was just too good! I have a few upcoming events I plan to wear this to and can’t wait!

Ok ok, we’re going to talk about something quite scary today: fall season. I know, not something you want to hear or think about in the thick of summer! This green floral print dress immediately caught my eye when I saw it in store. I’m not normally one to turn to emerald green for a colour palette, but the pink and white accents had me thinking that weaving in my pastel accessories would be a cinch. The balloon sleeves and pockets were also a major win. Speaking of pastel accessories, I always love using the sale to snag items from designer favourites like Tory Burch, Ted Baker and Kate Spade. This pink bow clutch was too cute to pass up and it came with a perfect crossbody chain for a more casual vibe. I paired it with these neutral block heels and a classic pair of sunglasses. 
This is just one look I was able to snag from the sale but with cozy sweaters, plaid jackets, chic loafers and beauty finds galore like this Diptqye set or Oribe duo, it’s definitely an add to cart kind of month. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Early Access kicked off this week in Canada and I’ve enjoyed getting a sneak peek at the brand’s take on fall trends. While I’m not ready to jump into fall fashion, I didn’t mind trying on this transitional dress for style. I love the juxtaposition of bright florals with moody background colours to make for the perfect fall dress.
