What I’m peeping from the Nordstrom Sale

I bet you’ve been inundated with clicks, stories and swipe ups all pertaining to the Nordstrom Sale. I’ll be honest, I had nearly forgotten the sale this year had I not strolled through a Nordstrom on the weekend to grab a few items. The effects of Covid are still alive and well and I continue to be an advocate for being wise with your personal budget. Many of you have probably noticed a lot of budget finds around here from tops and blouses under $50 or $100. Being an influencer status myself, I’m not busting down doors to get inside a Nordstrom anytime soon but I have made a preliminary wish list of items I will be looking out for.

I should note I am by no means planning to get all of the above but know most items can sell out so this is a starting point before trying items on and making final selections. I wasn’t overly thrilled with the beauty selections this year aside from this Malin + Goetz natural deodorant I was interested in trying after seeing some reviews online. Alas, here goes my thought process for the items above.

Tahari White Pleated Dress: A great transitional piece for the odd client meeting I might have in the books before 2020 closes out. I can see it paired with moto jackets and ankle booties as the weather cools. And also, winter whites are a must!

Free People Mock Neck Sweater: A quintessential fall sweater from a go-to cozy brand. I love the hi/low feel of this sweater and think it’ll be the perfect WFH companion for cozy fall days.

All Saints Leather Jacket: When it comes to leather jackets, All Saints is my jam. Their leather is perfection, ages perfectly and I adore the cuts of their jackets. I’m digging this shade of grey.

J.Crew Polkadot Popover: Add pearl earrings, a headband and a swipe of lipstick and voila: you are Zoom meeting ready.

Lilac Plaid Coat: Ok this might be top of my list. I am crushing on the lilac and emerald green combo for fall and can see this with an oversized bow blouse and dark jeans for date night.

Skinny Grey Jeans: I’ve got about every colour of skinny jeans but grey and I really liked the shade of these. It’s not too dark or light and will balance all of the pastel-hued tops I wear in fall/winter.

Leopard Rain Jacket: A hooded trench coat from Zara was probably one of my most worn items of 2020. I’m thinking a pattern option needs to be added to the list.

Check Fleece Coat: This is one of those ‘meh’ items for me. Looks cute online but I want to see the fleece quality in-store. I’m super picky about teddy coats – they either look super chic or super cheap IRL.

North Face Fleece Popover: I take daily strolls around the block to clear my head in between Zoom calls. A throw on and go jacket would be perfect come late September. I also think this will be great for weekend trips to the cottage.

Pink Pajamas: I invest in a cozy new pair of pj’s every fall and since I can’t get to a Target anytime soon, I’m thinking these will be my purchase for 2020.

Cat Eye Sunglasses: I’m linking these as a similar option to many other styles I often wear on the blog. Quay styles sell out so fast!

Nike Blazer Sneakers: I have been on the hunt for a white sneaker with coral touches and think these might just be it!

Floral Dress: I’ve got fall boho dreams on the mind and this dress is checking off all the boxes. I can picture this with a longer wrap cardigan or moto jacket and ankle boots for the fall.

Burgundy Ankle Boots: I adore this style of ankle boot: the chunky heel makes long days in heels seem bearable. I’ve got variations in prints and suedes but I am loving this red-hued leather option.
