Ask me what I’m most comfortable in when it
comes to work wear and I’ll probably tell you dress pants and a blazer. Sure, I love me
casual Friday more than anything else but I feel like I spent so much of my
working career in dresses and suits that it’s been engrained in my brain as
appropriate work wear culture. I’m all for the casual progression we’ve seen in
the workplace but I do believe there’s still a time and place for dressing up
such as introduction meetings, client dinner’s and other special occasions.

And while work wear can mean leaving the
distressed jeans and flats at home, it doesn’t always have to be boring. I’m
OBSESSED with these
striped Editor pants from Express for fall. The bold pattern truly makes a
statement and when paired with a white on white shirt
and jacket combo styled
above, is chic transitional wear. I’m also seeing these trousers paired with a grey
oversized sweater and black flats for a more casual weekend vibe.
