Hailed as the kickoff of summer, May also
often means that calendar openings become far and few in between. With friends and family celebrating weddings, anniversaries and babies this summer, we’ve got a jam packed calendar that has us hopping from one get together to the next. With a few hosting gigs on our plate this summer, I need a dress that suits the occasion but will also work with the hustle and bustle that comes along with hosting such as last minute place settings, tending to cocktail refills and of course – some dancing.
Easy to throw on and not super fussy, this off-the-shoulder
dress from Express makes a statement in its own right. Paired with these minimalist high heels, I feel like the adorable ruffle that surrounds the dress makes the perfect girly statement. In sticking with the dress as my statement piece in the outfit, I also opted for more simplistic jewelry such as this pendant necklace and caged cuff.
I don’t mind a booked summer calendar so
long as I have the flexible wardrobe to match it and this dress definitely checks an item off my list ;)
